Can Puffin WiFi be controlled over the internet?
Yes. Puffin WiFi uses WebRTC for real-time video and control across different networks. Both Puffin and the controller device need internet access to reach the signaling server and establish the remote connection.
Which devices can I use as the controller?
You can control Puffin from a PC, Mac, or phone through a web browser or supported app.
Does Puffin WiFi include 4G or 5G?
No. This is the Wi-Fi-only version of Puffin and supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. It does not include cellular connectivity.
Which cameras are supported?
The included MIPI camera operates at 640 × 480 and 30 fps. Puffin also supports Ethernet IP cameras up to 4K at 30 fps, with H.264 and H.265 encoding and decoding.
Which control interfaces are available?
Puffin provides four PWM outputs, two UART interfaces including one dedicated debug UART, three GPIO connections, and an I²C interface. I²C software validation is still in progress.
What power supply do I need?
Puffin accepts 3.2–19 V DC input. A 5V/1A power adapter is recommended for the Starter Kit and is not included.
